Post PAX post

Alright so PAX. PAX East was last weekend and after mulling it all over as I generally do every year I realize that it is an incredible show. The relationships I have now because of it are some of my best. It is an experience like no other. Everyone together in one place all existing with a similar consciousness and interests. This year I got to chat with a few artists who I really admire (Scott Kurtz and Tavis Maiden) I also met Jerry Holkins (and keeping my super nerd freak out contained was quite difficult) I had a great time seeing the expo hall but to me that isn’t what PAX is about. The times in between activities have always been the most entertaining and fascinating to me. Playing Mario Kart with folks while waiting in line. Or rushing through my Find Moi que so I could fill it up again almost immediately. Again this year we attended the ‘Make a strip’ panel which is one of my personal favorites as it allows another peak into the process and also allows me to watch arguably one of my favorite artists work (Mike Krahulik) Anyways this may not be the most concise or in depth description of what PAX is but this is PAX to me and hopefully I can keep going for years to come and also getting together with everyone who makes my PAX weekends incredible. Lastly if I met you at PAX thanks for saying hello!

So I decided to do some Daughters of the Eyrewood fanart today. Based on the the Eyrewood mythology created by Mike and Jerry of Penny Arcade. A couple hours and in Manga Studio on a Surface Pro. Now I really want to do a Lookout :)

Get your facts straight, CNN.

If you didn’t know, Stephen Colbert is a literal expert on Lord of the Rings. He went onto the sets of one of the films and managed to beat the resident lore expert in a trivia contest. Someday he will die and Death will come, and he will live forever by challenging him to a contest of LoTR trivia.

Headcanon accepted.
